A place to put all the information we can find about the East Post Bridge project that was on the books for years... construction began 3/15/2010 and is scheduled to be done in October (7 months).

The north piling is starting to peek up above ground. They dug down to the bedrock, laid a concrete footing as the base, instead of the big metal rods they used on the south side. There are stairs cut in to the hole, and an I-beam used as a footbridge.
Great site. Thanks for letting us neighbors know the progress on this bridge. The re-routed traffic along Cottage Grove is terrible in the number of vehicles using the road, excessive speeding and heavy truck use. Can't wait for this new bridge to open.
